Travel Registered Nurse CCU Job
Registered Nurse – CCU for a travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 06/29/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay ranges from $1,825 to $1,935 per week, with no guaranteed hours. The shift is flex, with a first-week orientation, followed by three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours) plus two 12-hour call shifts every four weeks. The assignment is in a hospital-based critical care unit with potential to float to other high-acuity and step-down units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to CCU/high-acuity critical care patients, including monitoring hemodynamics and respiratory status
- Administer medications and therapies, manage ventilated patients, and respond to emergencies per unit protocols
- Perform skilled nursing procedures appropriate to critical care, with continuous assessment and timely escalation
- Document care in the Meditech electronic health record and maintain accurate patient data
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team; participate in rounds and care planning
- Float to other critical care and step-down units as needed; maintain patient safety and comfort across units
Requirements
- Hawaii registered nurse license active by start date (for travelers not currently licensed in HI, apply upon acceptance; Hawaii license must be active by start of assignment)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification (or ability to complete the online 45-minute class as part of orientation)
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience
- Proficiency with Meditech or willingness to use the system for documentation
- Ability to work in a high-acuity CCU environment and float to related units as needed
