Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being; manage labor progression; assist with deliveries; respond promptly to obstetric emergencies
- Administer medications, perform cervical exams within scope, interpret fetal monitoring strips
- Prepare patients for operative deliveries and provide postpartum education
- Provide emotional support to patients and families; collaborate with the obstetric team to promote a positive birth experience
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation; participate in handoffs and continuous quality improvement activities
Requirements
- Active Montana RN license
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
- Prior experience in Labor & Delivery
- Ability to work the listed shift (nights) and adapt to a fast-paced obstetric setting
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and compassionate patient-centered care
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program with active RN licensure in Montana
