Overview
Registered Nurse, Endoscopy – Bangor, Maine. This travel - temporary assignment starts 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,221 to $2,279 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week on days. Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the RN performs patient care functions in line with the Maine Board of Nursing and facility policies. The Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse provides direct supervision for the shift. This assignment is for local and traveling RNs seeking a scheduled day-shift role in an intensive clinical area.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the medical team to deliver direct patient care for endoscopy patients, including pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure monitoring.
- Assist endoscopy procedures, maintain sterile technique, prepare rooms and equipment, and manage IV access and medications as ordered.
- Monitor patient status during procedures, document vital signs, and provide post-procedure recovery care in accordance with policy and procedure guidelines.
- Ensure accurate documentation of care, procedure notes, and patient education; communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team and during handoffs.
- Adhere to requirements from the Maine Board of Nursing and hospital policies; practice patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement principles.
- Demonstrate teamwork and strong communication, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Requirements
- Active Maine RN license or compact license
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, IV certification
- Endoscopy or related procedural experience; 1–3 years preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a day-shift schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; capacity to multitask and prioritize care
