Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult/geriatric medical and post-surgical patients on remote telemetry
- Monitor telemetry rhythms, recognize and respond to arrhythmias, and administer IVs and peripheral line care
- Manage non-titratable cardiac drips and support basic dysrhythmia management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response) to coordinate care
- Document in EPIC, communicate via SBAR, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Floats may occur to other Med‑Surg units or nearby affiliate hospitals with similar skill requirements

Requirements
- Licensure: Current North Carolina license or Compact license; license must be in hand at time of start
- Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted ONLY if they have EPIC charting experience
- Documentation/training: EPIC experience required for first-time travelers; pre-start modules and orientation requirements apply
- Schedule and holidays: Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; must work 2 of 3 major holidays; RTO policies apply (no RTO in first week; auto-approval up to 7 days not on holidays; additional approvals may be required)
