Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for IMCU/PCU patients, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and postoperative cases.
- Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and ventilator support as needed; manage specialty equipment (temporary pacer, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP) with RT assistance for chronic vents.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient responses, and escalate changes to the healthcare team promptly.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient status in the EPIC EMR; participate in accurate handoffs and care coordination with the multidisciplinary team.
- Floats to related units as required to support patient care and contribute to unit-based quality and safety activities.

Requirements
- Licenses: Active New York RN license; Nursys licensure verification showing NY license and any additional RN licenses.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association or equivalent).
- Experience: 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience.
- EMR: EPIC EMR experience required.
- Education: RN degree from an accredited program.
- Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment; ability to float to other units as needed; start date as specified; RTO (requested time off) must be included at submission.
