Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology and cardiac imaging procedures, including guidance of vascular/interventional catheters using fluoroscopy and cine, to assist physicians during procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographs and cine images, following established protocols and quality standards.
- Position and immobilize patients, set up equipment, and monitor patient status during procedures; ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and administer contrast media under protocol, adjust technical factors, and document imaging details and procedure results.
- Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures, maintain equipment readiness, and manage image capture, labeling, and storage per policy.
- Maintain sterile technique, adhere to radiation safety practices, and participate in after-hours/on-call coverage as scheduled.
Requirements
- ARRT certification (required)
- California radiologic technologist (RT) license or eligibility; CA RT license preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor (required by policy)
- At least two years of recent experience in radiology or interventional procedures
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity interventional setting and to perform night shifts in a home healthcare - hospice environment
