Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care in a long-term care setting under nursing supervision
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and document administration
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes, and report to the charge nurse or supervising RN
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility needs
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure timely charting
- Maintain safety, infection control, and patient safety standards; respond to urgent changes as needed
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (active)
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- 1 year of LPN experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to work the 3x12-hour day shift schedule
- Strong communication and documentation skills; able to work effectively in a team while following facility policies
