This travel assignment involves work in an inpatient imaging/diagnostic setting within a high-volume environment. The position requires active licensure, ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine, and relevant clinical experience.

Responsibilities
- Perform quality control measures on nuclear medicine equipment and devices, troubleshoot as needed, and support quality management programs for all procedures
- Confer with physicians to determine the appropriate procedures and document all operations, including receipt/disposition of radioactive materials, QC data, patient procedures, and medical records
- Exercise professional judgment in conducting scheduled examinations and procedures to ensure adherence to established guidelines
- Identify opportunities to improve work processes and enhance internal and external customer satisfaction; make recommendations and monitor results
- Provide clinical instruction to Radiology students and residents to ensure staff and learners are informed of all radiologic information
- Stay current with developments in the nuclear medicine field through seminars, journals, and professional involvement; maintain licensure and apply updated knowledge to practice
- Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, physicians, nurses, residents, and patients to support interdepartmental cooperation
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines affecting nuclear medicine; contribute to internal controls that support accreditation and program requirements

Requirements
- Active Texas Medical Board MRT certification (permanent or temporary) – REQUIRED
- ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine (N) or CNMT, within 6 months of hire – REQUIRED
- 24 months minimum current Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience – REQUIRED
- Siemens and Spectrum Imaging experience – HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Thorough working knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, including chemistry, physics, mathematics, and related biomedical sciences
- Proficient in operating gamma cameras (including SPECT/CT and PET/CT), nuclear medicine computers, and cardiac stress equipment
- Ability to administer intramuscular and intravenous injections and start IV lines
- Basic knowledge of nuclear medicine therapeutic treatments and EKG procedures for cardiac studies
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification – REQUIRED
- Resume submission required; 2 supervisory references from within the last year; proof of taxable address (e.g., driver’s license or utility bill)
