Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for Med Surg Telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and patient status
- Interpret telemetry readings, identify dysrhythmias, and respond per unit protocols
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed; manage IVs and appropriate treatments
- Perform ongoing patient assessments; develop and adjust plan of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team
- Document accurately, ensure infection prevention and safety standards, and advocate for patient needs
- Float to comparable units and overflow areas as assigned; communicate changes to the charge nurse

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license (Massachusetts) or applicable state license for assignment
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Current AHABLS certification
- Ability to pass Telemetry Competency Exam (pass/fail; one attempt)
- Willingness to float to like units and overflow areas
- Flu vaccination required for compliance
- Documentation of professional development activities; knowledge of Critical Paths; charge nurse experience preferred
