Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse | Med Surg Tele | Massena, NY | Start 05/26/2026 | Weeks travel assignment | 12-hour days, 7:30 am–7:30 pm | Weekly pay $1,792-$1,934 | Not guaranteed hours | Facility type: Critical Access Hospital. This assignment is on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients, with an estimated daily census around 20 patients across a 25-bed unit.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults and geriatrics on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, including routine assessments and care planning
- Monitor telemetry, interpret rhythms, and respond to dysrhythmias per unit protocol
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy, blood product transfusions, and peripheral/central line care
- Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary, and Interpreting Services to coordinate patient care
- Participate in rapid response and code events; manage stroke evaluation, seizures, and substance withdrawal considerations as applicable
- Implement isolation precautions, PPE use, and non-invasive airway support (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, oxygen delivery) as needed
- Document thoroughly in EPIC, including assessments, plan of care, progress notes, and discharge planning
- Maintain flexibility to float to related MS/Tele areas in support of patient flow and unit needs
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- EPIC charting experience (required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; travel experience required; community hospital experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and to float as needed
- Position requires ability to work in the listed clinical setting and with adult/geriatric patient populations
