This is a travel assignment for a Respiratory Therapist in an inpatient, hospital-based setting. The role requires mobilizing quickly for a short-term assignment with flexible weekend coverage and no on-call requirement.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult ICU and ED patients, including ventilator management, airway care, bronchodilators, suctioning, and therapy modalities per physician orders.
- Monitor patient status, interpret ABG results, adjust therapies, and document interventions in the EMR system (Epic) in a timely, accurate manner.
- Support NICU level III patients; PICU experience is preferred; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in rounds, communicate changes to the care team, and educate patients and families on respiratory therapies as appropriate.
- Maintain equipment readiness, ensure infection control practices, and perform routine checks on respiratory support devices.
- Weekend coverage as needed; no on-call requirement; maintain schedule flexibility to meet unit needs.
Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license on file; must be RRT (no CRT accepted)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NBRC Verification, NRP
- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
- Able to work in a fast-paced inpatient hospital setting
- Documentation of all employment history gaps and complete work history information as applicable
