Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neonates in the NICU as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Monitor neonates’ vital signs, assess condition changes, and respond to clinical needs promptly
- Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and blood products per order; manage lines and devices as required
- Support ventilator and respiratory therapies as indicated; collaborate with the respiratory care team
- Document accurately in the medical record; participate in care planning and updates to the family
- Uphold standards of infection control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance; educate families about care plans and discharge needs
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Georgia RN license in good standing
- NICU or neonatal care experience preferred
- Ability to work nights and adapt to a high-acuity NICU environment
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Commitment to patient safety and family-centered care
- Willingness to complete required credentialing and orientation for travel assignments
Education
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; eligibility to practice as a registered nurse in Georgia
