Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care for emergency department patients
- Provide clinical leadership to the patient care team during the assigned shift
- Perform rapid ER assessment and triage; administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and escalate to physicians as needed
- Document care accurately; maintain patient safety and quality of care standards
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with ER protocols
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license (Nursys) – REQUIRED
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association – REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years ER experience – REQUIRED
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed with dates employed listed – REQUIRED
- ER-specific Skills Checklist current within 1 year; TNCC certification preferred but not required
- Permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of Mattoon, IL – REQUIRED
