Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients; monitor fetal status and adjust care as needed; triage obstetrical patients and coordinate with the care team.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries; circulate and recover during cesarean sections; perform sterile vaginal exams as required and support patient safety during procedures.
- Place and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC); manage central lines (CVC/PICC) as indicated; administer anticoagulation, antihypertensives, insulin drips, and magnesium sulfate per orders.
- Maintain isolation precautions and appropriate PPE; document care in the charting system; communicate effectively with obstetric, anesthesia, NICU, and pediatrics teams; respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Support patient education and family-centered care; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions across labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Idaho or a compact state; license must be in hand at time of submittal.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical Labor & Delivery experience.
- Onboarding requirements: core items/labs completed within 48 hours of contract signing; onsite RN orientation modules approximately 4–6 hours.
- All required time off (RTO) must be listed at submittal.
- Residency requirement: must reside outside a 100-mile radius from the facility.
- Willingness to work 3x12-hour night shifts.
- Prior travel experience not required but not prohibited.
