Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations (X-ray) as ordered, with correct patient positioning and exposure factors to ensure diagnostic-quality images
- Verify patient identifiers, protect patient safety, and apply radiation safety principles (shielding, ALARA) for every study
- Operate radiographic equipment, adjust technique, and optimize image quality across various body areas
- Process and file images, annotate studies accurately, and document relevant clinical information in the HIS/RIS as required
- Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and maintain patient comfort and privacy
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other imaging team members to coordinate workflow in a busy hospital setting
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist licensure or eligibility in Georgia (state requirements)
- Ability to work night shifts with a Fri–Sun schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am)
- Willingness to commit to a 10-week travel assignment
- Ability to perform imaging across multiple clinical areas and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Strong patient-care skills, attention to safety, and adherence to facility protocols
