Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a high-risk perinatal setting
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret external/internal fetal monitoring, and respond to non-reassuring fetal conditions
- Assist with labor progress, epidural analgesia support, cesarean delivery assistance and recovery, and postpartum hemorrhage management
- Perform newborn assessment, support thermoregulation and feeding, and provide couplet (mother/baby) care
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, neonatal team, and ancillary staff; participate in handoffs and communicate changes in patient status
- Document thoroughly in EPIC, ensure safety, and provide patient and family education; float as needed to postpartum

Requirements
- Active WA RN license or Compact RN license (permitted for RN roles)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Sterile Vaginal Exam (SVE) experience required
- Certifications: BCLS (BLS), ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring (acceptable fetal monitoring: AWHONN or Relias)
- EPIC electronic charting experience
- Ability to work in a hospital perinatal setting; weekend shifts required
- Willingness to float within like units as needed
- Holiday commitment: must work 3 of 5 designated holidays
- Compliance notes: disclose any background/Nursys hits at submittal; locals are not accepted for this assignment
- Orientation: 40 hours pre-start; orientation modules average ~16 hours (self-reported)
