Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Templeton, California. Start date 08/31/2026 for an 18-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range is $2,634 to $2,835 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including emergency situations and circulating for C-sections.
- Develop and implement multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with the health care team; supervise and delegate to ancillary staff within scope.
- Monitor fetal and maternal status, assess amniotic fluid, vaginal bleeding, and recognize and manage perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia).
- Manage pain control during labor and support/implement alternative pain modalities when appropriate.
- Assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor fetal and maternal status during placement and after medication administration.
- Educate patients and families across perinatal and postpartum periods, tailoring teaching to age, culture, and learning readiness; document care legibly and timely.

Requirements
- Current California RN license (active) in the state of practice
- Minimum two years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring training; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required
- EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience
- Ability to work night shifts and rotating schedule in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting
