This travel assignment is in a hospital laboratory setting. You will be responsible for Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Gram Stains, with involvement in instrument operation and maintenance, and reporting results within Epic and Sunquest EMR. The role emphasizes hands-on exposure across core lab sections while staying within the immunohematology and clinical chemistry workflow.

Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of laboratory testing across Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Gram stain workups, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Operate and maintain instruments such as Siemens Aptio Line, Siemens Atellica, Sysmex XN9000, Sysmex UN3000 or Iris, and prepare Gels for Blood Bank and Micro set-ups as needed.
- Document results and quality control data in the Epic and Sunquest EMR systems; follow established laboratory SOPs and quality standards.
- Participate in instrument QC, maintenance logs, proficiency testing, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure adequate coverage within the rotating schedule; maintain appropriate communication with clinicians and nursing staff as needed.
- Maintain focus on patient safety and specimen integrity; perform duties inside the laboratory scope with no cross-departmental floating outside of the lab.

Requirements
- MT license required
- ASCP or AMT credential (CLS or MLT) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
- Proficiency with Epic and Sunquest EMR; experience in Blood Bank, Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry, and Gram stains
- Ability to work rotating shifts and on-site requirements; travel within a 200-mile radius as needed
