Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU.
- Monitor respiratory status, vital signs, and overall clinical condition; manage telemetry as indicated.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, fluids, and blood products per orders; support ventilator and other respiratory therapies.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans; document progress and changes in the electronic health record.
- Communicate clearly with families, provide education and support, and participate in family-centered care approaches.
- Participate in rotating shifts, weekends/holidays/on-call/callback as required; assume charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs.
Requirements
- Current NY RN license (active)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NRP 8th edition certification required
- Minimum two years of RN experience
- Telemetry experience; Epic experience highly desired
- Ability to work in a high-acuity NICU setting with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call scenarios
