Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg in York, Maine. Start date: 04/20/2026. This 13-week travel assignment offers 36 guaranteed hours per week on the night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) in a hospital medical-surgical unit with telemetry. No on-call required and every other weekend will be required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; monitor vital signs and document changes in the electronic medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapies, per physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitor telemetry as assigned; recognize arrhythmias and respond per protocol; escalate changes to the supervising clinician.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and adjust care plans; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
- Maintain infection control standards, patient safety practices, and accurate timekeeping and charting; support a positive patient flow and handoffs.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license.
- ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications required.
- Previous medical-surgical nursing experience required.
- Telemetry experience preferred.
- Flu vaccine mandated by the State of Maine.
- Ability to work night shift and meet the guaranteed weekly hours requirement.
