Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures across OB/GYN, abdomen, breast, vascular, and small parts.
- Corroborate patient history with procedures, document findings, and prepare patients; provide instructions to obtain optimal results and minimize anxiety.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, select appropriate transducers, and position patients to optimize image quality; practice proper aseptic techniques.
- Verify informed consent for interventional procedures and assist licensed practitioners as needed; administer contrast media or medications only as prescribed and allowed.
- Contribute to patient education, maintain accurate records, participate in department quality assurance, and support inventory and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- May serve as an in-house resource for peers, assist with student or staff instruction, and participate in required education for relevant programs.

Requirements
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a CAHEA-accredited sonography program or equivalent.
- Licenses/ Certifications: OBMI license; ARDMS-registered ultrasound sonographer; current BLS; NRP required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience.
- Travel eligibility: Eligible for travel assignments; ability to work a night shift in a hospital setting.
- Physical/ functional: Ability to meet the physical demands described in the job requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Additional: If the assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required.
