Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients and families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
- Manage emergencies in labor and delivery and serve as circulating nurse for C-Sections as needed.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; monitor patient status and respond to changes.
- Administer medications, perform assessments, and coordinate care with the obstetric, anesthesia, neonatology, and ancillary teams.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; ensure accurate documentation and patient safety.
- This assignment is represented by CNA as part of the unit team.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted California RN license
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Ability to work night shifts; 12-hour shifts
- Experience in Labor and Delivery or obstetric care preferred
- Ability to work in a labor and delivery environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment in California
