Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) with rotating ICU coverage in Havre, Montana. Start date: 07/29/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,227–$2,446. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to ED patients, including initial assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, manage IVs and monitoring equipment, and assist with procedures under physician direction
- Respond to emergencies, support rapid response and code events, and escalate appropriately
- Rotate between ER and ICU departments as assigned, collaborating with physicians, nursing colleagues, and other health professionals
- Document care in the electronic medical record, ensure accurate handoffs, and support safe patient transitions
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions; participate in discharge planning and referrals as appropriate
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing (state of Montana or compact license accepted)
- ER and ICU experience; ability to float between departments as patient needs dictate
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Comfort with rotating shifts and handling a broad range of patient populations in acute care
