Travel Speech Language Pathologist Job
Speech Language Pathologist – Acute care setting, Cumming, Georgia. Start date: 04/27/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,846–$1,981 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Weekdays, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (8x5). This travel temporary assignment is in a wide-ranging acute care environment, with responsibilities across medical and surgical diagnoses. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for acute care inpatients and select appropriate referrals
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for swallowing, communication, and cognitive-communication disorders
- Provide bedside therapy and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
- Document evaluation findings, treatments, and progress notes; support discharge planning and patient/ family education
- Manage diverse patient populations, including ICU patients, stroke/neurological conditions, dyspagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive challenges
- Maintain clinical skills and licensure requirements; AHA BLS certification required; MBS/FEES proficiency is a plus but not required
Requirements
- Active Georgia license for Speech-Language Pathologist; CCC-SLP required
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty, preferably in an acute care setting
- Ability to work in an acute care environment, including ICU-adjacent care, with complex medical and surgical diagnoses
- Willingness to work a 40-hour week with weekend coverage as scheduled
