Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Registered Nurse – Oncology, based in Burlington, Vermont, United States, with a start date of 05/18/2026 for a travel temporary assignment. Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy as prescribed; monitor patients during infusion and manage related reactions
- Deliver IV therapies including IV antibiotics and anticoagulant infusions; perform blood product administration as needed
- Perform central line care and maintenance; initiate IV access and IV starts
- Monitor patients via telemetry; identify and respond to clinical changes; provide timely escalation to the care team
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer medications, and document care in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support symptom management and overall patient safety
- Ensure infection control, safety protocols, and patient education are maintained throughout the shift
Requirements
- Active RN license on file at the time of submission
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
- Specialty certifications: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred
- Experience: Prior travel nursing experience; oncology/chemotherapy experience preferred; experience in a large teaching facility strongly preferred
- EMR: EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required
- Other: Ability to work 3x12 night shifts in a hospital setting; reliable transportation; able to start within the next week; capable of complying with all job-site requirements and documentation
