Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging studies across chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, and spine; position patients and select appropriate protocols
- Ensure high-quality images, apply radiation safety principles, and manage contrast administration and venipuncture per NYS DOH requirements
- Operate CT scanners (Phillips) and monitor equipment; document procedures in the EPIC system
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during scanning; assist radiologists with interpretation and image acquisition
- Collaborate with radiology staff, nursing, and ancillary teams; respond to imaging requests as scheduled
- Adhere to unit protocols, infection control, and patient privacy standards; participate in required orientation and training
Requirements
- Active NYS license in radiologic technology (or proof of application with applied date)
- ARRT CT certification
- NYS DOH venipuncture certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical radiology experience; CT experience of 1 year
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years
- BLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- NY injection certification preferred; may be obtained during orientation
- Reliable transportation; public transit may be limited
