Responsibilities
- Provide direct, skilled care for Med/Surg-Telemetry patients, including monitoring, assessment, medication administration, and basic procedures as ordered.
- Admit and discharge patients; support care planning and ongoing communication with the multidisciplinary team.
- Manage high patient turnover on a busy admission unit; prioritize tasks and coordinate with physicians and ancillary staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record; ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions; assist with pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients awaiting procedures when needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license with Nursys license verification required
- BLS and ACLS Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced admission unit with a 5–6:1 patient ratio
- Candidate profile must include: resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, Skills Checklist, References, Certification Card, Nursys License Verification
