Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on the MS/Tele unit, including monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
- Respond to rapid responses and codes; participate in the rapid response team as needed to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (IV teams, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Deliver wound care, use wound VAC as indicated, and enforce infection control and PPE precautions; manage isolation needs.
- Document patient care in the electronic medical record (EPIC preferred); maintain accurate charting and support cross-unit floating to MS, ICU, and ED within scope.
- Complete onboarding and orientation requirements (on-site and classroom) as part of start-up processes.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in-hand
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (required)
- MS/Tele clinical skills, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management; rapid response/code team use
- IV therapy and phlebotomy competency; peripheral line care
- Ability to float to Med/Surg-level assignments on MS, ICU, and ED units; weekend requirement: every other weekend; first-time travel nurses accepted; EPIC experience preferred
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the assignment location are not accepted
