Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; delegate tasks appropriately and monitor performance.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure continuity and quality of treatment and discharge planning.
- Document patient status, treatments, and outcomes accurately in accordance with policy and procedures.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or eligibility) to practice in the state.
- BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
- 1–2 years of ER or acute care experience preferred.
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Ability to work night, 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Strong nursing assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
