Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job
Registered Nurse - PACU in a long-term care and assisted living setting located in Gunnison, Colorado. This travel assignment starts on 05/18/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 30 hours per week on a 4x10-hour shift schedule. Pay ranges from $2,203 to $2,294 per week. This role supports pre-operative and post-operative patient care as part of a surgical services team and requires availability for three to four 10-hour shifts per week with call (1–2 days per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks).

Responsibilities
- Provide clinically competent PACU nursing care across pre-operative and post-operative phases as part of the surgical team
- Monitor and document physiological responses and patient status; detect and respond to post-anesthesia changes
- Plan, organize, direct, execute, and evaluate all aspects of patient care within the perioperative period
- Administer medications and treatments per orders; observe for adverse reactions and report findings promptly
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure safe, evidence-based patient care
- Maintain compliance with professional practice standards, relevant statutes and organizational policies; participate in ongoing orientation and procedure training
Requirements
- Availability for three to four 10-hour shifts per week with call (1–2 days per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks)
- CAPS check required (Colorado Adult Protective Services) prior to assignment
- Prior PACU or perioperative nursing experience preferred; ability to manage pre- and post-operative patient care
- Ability to work in a rural, transportation-limited locale; reliable transportation is required
- Completion of department-specific certifications and training as directed by the Surgical Services team
