Responsibilities
- Provide critical care respiratory care for diverse ICU and NICU patients, including neonatal respiratory support and ventilator management.
- Perform assessments, administer prescribed therapies, nebulized medications, airway clearance, and suctioning as indicated.
- Monitor patient status, interpret arterial blood gases, adjust ventilator settings, and manage alarms in collaboration with the critical care team.
- Support NICU patients with neonatal intubation and related respiratory interventions; participate in neonatal transports if requested.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and infection control; document care in the patient record and communicate changes to the care team.
- Adhere to required certifications and competencies (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP) and maintain licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Requirements
- Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license is required.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of critical care experience, with 2–3 years in NICU and neonatal intubation experience.
- Shift readiness: able to work night shifts and participate in rotating schedules; able to respond to neonatal transport needs if called.
- Ability to work in a short-term acute care setting on a travel assignment.
