Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for dialysis patients following established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor and respond to patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment data collection and care planning.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and implement care plans, including interventions to attain outcomes and ensure patient safety.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families; support treatment team with health information and teaching.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California).
- Experience: At least two years of recent nursing experience in the field.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS required.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Qualifications: Ability to work in an acute care setting; experience with unit-based hemodialysis is preferred.
