Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, high-quality care to adult patients in MICU, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management as needed
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments, interpret diagnostic data, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and high-risk therapies per physician orders; manage drips and IV therapies
- Participate in daily rounds, care conferences, and multidisciplinary collaboration with physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists
- Document findings and interventions accurately in the medical record; uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards
- Respond to emergent events, initiating appropriate escalation and aiding code-blue responses when necessary
Requirements
- Active registered nurse (RN) license; GA licensure or valid multi-state license as allowed by state practice rules
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (medical ICU or equivalent)
- Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced MICU environment and adapt to high-acuity patient care
