Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiography studies to image heart muscle, cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels.
- Create, optimize, and acquire high-quality images for assessment of heart function and structure.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, monitor patient safety, and position patients for optimal imaging.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, handling the technical aspects of examinations, evaluating findings, and reporting results.
- Document exam results clearly and assist with interpretation as directed by the cardiology team.
- Maintain equipment, adherence to infection control standards, and ensure proper specimen handling and documentation.
Requirements
- Relevant experience performing echocardiography or cardiac ultrasound examinations.
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting and follow safety/infection control protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with cardiology staff.
- Willingness to travel and fulfill a 13-week assignment at the designated location.
