Travel Registered Nurse House Supervisor Job
Registered Nurse (House Supervisor) – Travel assignment in Newark, NY. Start date: 05/05/2026 for a multi-week assignment. Weekly pay: $2,270–$2,379 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 4x9 Nights. Work setting: Skilled Nursing Facility, a 180-bed geriatric facility with five units. The RN Supervisor/Charge RN provides off-shift clinical leadership across units (evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays), mentors staff, manages patient flow, and supports problem-solving across the facility. EPIC charting is required.

Responsibilities
- Serve as RN Supervisor/Charge RN across multiple units during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; provide clinical leadership and oversee nursing staff.
- Mentor and coach staff, drive patient flow, and solve unit-wide problems to maintain safe, efficient care.
- De-escalate and manage behavioral or assaultive patients; implement care plans and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform IV starts, PICC line care/management, and wound care; manage tube feeds, ostomies, and indwelling catheters.
- Oversee code management, emergency preparedness, infection control, and HIPAA compliance; support incident and sentinel event reporting.
- Ensure accurate EPIC charting and documentation; monitor regulatory requirements (DPH, TJC, OSHA) and support risk management initiatives.
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in-hand to submit; must be >75 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience with prior charge nurse supervisory experience
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work in a multi-unit geriatric care setting and float across units as needed
- Education: RN degree from an accredited program (active licensure to practice in NY)
