Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Implement and evaluate the patient’s plan of care, adjusting as needed based on clinical status
- Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons; educate families on care plans and discharge needs
- Demonstrate nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition; respond promptly to evolving acuity
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records and participate in continual quality improvement efforts related to core measures
- Contribute to a healthy workplace through professional communication and collaboration; participate in continuing education

Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS card
- ACLS certification
- Certifications aligned with PCU and cardiac care as listed in the job notes (see below)
- Ability to work in a Progressive Care Unit setting and manage a 4:1 patient ratio on PCU
- Eligibility to work a 13-week travel assignment with 36 guaranteed hours

Notes on Licenses, Certifications, and Experience
- Current Illinois RN license; CPR/BLS required; ACLS required
- PCU/Progressive Care Unit experience and/or related cardiac and respiratory care background is expected
- Additional unit-specific certifications listed in the job notes are required or preferred as applicable
