Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients following the nursing process and established standards.
- Collect and interpret data to identify health issues; develop and implement a care plan with appropriate interventions.
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to various levels of nursing staff; ensure safe, efficient care delivery.
- Educate patients and families, provide information to the treatment team, and participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote a safe, healing environment; document care accurately.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of California (state of practice).
- Minimum of two years of recent nursing experience in the field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or CPR certification from an approved vendor; BLS/CPR required.
- Epic electronic medical record experience required.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- ICU/acute-care experience preferred; ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
- Availability for night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and a 13-week assignment.
