Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for medical, telemetry, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, and general surgery patients; assess conditions and adjust care plans as needed
- Monitor telemetry tracings, respond to acuity changes, and participate in rapid response, Code 99, fall, and IV team activities
- Administer medications, including insulin and cardiac drips as prescribed, using the unit’s medication system; document in the EMR
- Collaborate with a 24/7 hospitalist group dedicated to the unit and coordinate transfers when higher levels of care are indicated
- Assist with procedures, IV starts, wound care, and patient education; coordinate with LNA/CNA/PCT staff when available
- Maintain unit protocols, ensure patient safety, and support a patient-centered care approach in a small but capable team

Requirements
- Active RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- ACLS and BLS certifications; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required prior to start
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Charge RN experience preferred/required; insulin drip and cardiac drip experience required
- Ability to work in a Med Surg Telemetry unit with progressive care components and collaborate with hospitalists and ancillary staff
