Responsibilities
- Perform specialized mammography examinations (screening and diagnostic) of the breast
- Position patients, apply appropriate compression, and optimize image quality
- Operate mammography equipment and associated imaging systems
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles; follow infection control practices
- Document procedures and maintain accurate imaging records; communicate results to the radiology team
- Provide compassionate patient care and clear explanations of procedures
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license as required by state regulations
- Ability to perform mammography procedures and operate mammography equipment
- Knowledge of radiation safety and patient care standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts and travel for assignment
- Experience in breast imaging is preferred
