Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) is needed for a travel assignment in Lewistown, Montana. Start date: 06/08/2026. Duration: 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,995–$2,137 per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across multiple areas, including acute care, OB, and ER
- Perform basic interpretation of electrocardiograms and identify potentially life-threatening arrhythmias; communicate findings to the medical team
- Adhere to and apply indications and contraindications for respiratory care procedures per American Association for Respiratory Care guidelines
- Provide advanced life support as required, including ACLS, neonatal life support, and pediatric life support protocols
- Conduct patient assessments, document findings, and convey pertinent data to physicians; participate in care planning and consultations
- Perform intubation procedures when indicated and manage ventilator support and weaning as appropriate
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, quality of care, and infection control
Requirements
- Active Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner license (RRT) and registration
- ACLS, Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Ability to interpret ECGs and determine life-threatening arrhythmias; capable of performing intubation and other advanced respiratory procedures
- Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday on-call requirements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with physicians and the care team; maintain accurate patient records
