Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under supervision, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support patient mobility and transfers using safe lifting and transfer techniques; help with range-of-motion exercises as directed.
- Assist with meals, feeding as ordered, and hydration; monitor intake and document observations.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse; perform basic nursing tasks within scope of practice.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment; adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols; ensure proper patient positioning and skin care.
- Document care provided and vitals accurately; collaborate with the health care team to ensure coordinated care and patient safety.
Requirements
- Active Vermont CNA/LNA license
- Ability to work evening and/or overnight shifts
- Ability to perform essential CNA duties, including lifting and transferring patients
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and punctual
- Ability to follow directions and document care accurately
- Eligible to work in the United States and comply with facility policies
