Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Nuclear Medicine specialty in Herrin, Illinois, United States. Start date: 07/13/2026. 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a 5x8 daytime shift (07:30–16:00). This assignment takes place in a hospital setting and requires on-site imaging duties in the nuclear medicine department.

Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies in the nuclear medicine department, including patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition, and processing.
- Operate gamma cameras and related imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and quality control per department protocols.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles and ALARA standards to protect patients and staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and other imaging staff to ensure appropriate study protocols and accurate results.
- Document procedures, prepare preliminary findings when required, and maintain compliant patient records.
Requirements
- Nuclear medicine imaging experience in a medical imaging setting; lab techs without nuclear medicine experience are not qualified.
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging department and participate in the on-call schedule (1 week per month).
- Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, radiation safety, and quality control practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for interaction with patients and clinical staff.
- Willingness to follow department policies and participate in standard on-site procedures.
