Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult patients in the PCU, delivering safe and evidence-based nursing care.
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; manage telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Interpret telemetry data, recognize rhythm changes, and respond promptly to patient deteriorations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care coordination and discharge planning.
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification required.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts; schedule may vary.
- Willingness to work in a PCU environment and meet holiday requirements (two major holidays of the three and one minor holiday).
- No local candidates within 50 miles.
