Travel Surgical Tech CVOR Job
Working in Zanesville blends small-town warmth with access to diverse medical settings and professional communities. You’ll enjoy an affordable cost of living, supportive neighborhoods, and a rich local culture that values family and tradition. The region serves as a gateway to the broader Midwest, making weekend trips to Columbus, Cleveland, or Cincinnati feasible for cultural events, dining, and outdoor adventures. For those who crave variety, the position also offers the option to travel to different U.S. locations on assignments facilitated by our travel program, expanding your CVOR repertoire, exposing you to varied surgical teams, instrumentation, and patient populations, and helping you build a robust, marketable skill set.
Role specifics and benefits: Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing the CVOR environment with meticulous aseptic technique, scrubbing and passing cardiovascular instruments, maintaining instrument counts with the circulating nurse, and ensuring all implants and devices are available and sterile. You will support the surgeon and anesthesia team during cardiothoracic procedures, assist with patient positioning and draping, anticipate equipment needs, and participate in efficient turnover to keep the OR running smoothly. The role emphasizes patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital protocols, while you gain exposure to a wide range of procedures and case complexities. This position offers clear pathways for professional growth: cross-training in advanced CVOR cases, possible involvement with hybrid or robotic-assisted opportunities as they arise, and the chance to mentor newer techs as your expertise deepens. In addition to a competitive weekly pay range of $2,021–$2,095, you’ll receive housing assistance to secure comfortable lodging, as well as opportunities for contract extensions that let you prolong your time with a valued team. A sign-on or completion bonus may be available, reflecting the firm’s commitment to rewarding expertise and dedication. You’ll benefit from robust support: 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, dedicated travel coordinators, and rapid escalation pathways for any on-site concerns or emergencies. With guaranteed 40 hours per week, you can plan your finances and personal time with confidence, while still enjoying the variety that travel assignments provide.
Company values: Our organization is dedicated to empowering staff, recognizing clinical excellence, and fostering a supportive environment where your career can advance. We offer structured onboarding, ongoing education, and mentorship to help you achieve your professional goals. The culture emphasizes collaboration, respect, and a shared commitment to high-quality cardiovascular care, with resources to help you improve skill sets, leadership potential, and overall well-being. We believe that consistent support and opportunities for growth translate into safer patient outcomes and a more fulfilling career for every team member.
Call to action: If you’re ready to contribute to life-saving cardiac care while expanding your horizons, this is your chance. The start date is 04/13/2026 for a travel assignment lasting several weeks, with guaranteed 40 hours per week and compensation in the stated range. If you’re passionate about CVOR excellence, eager to learn in a dynamic environment, and excited by the prospect of serving patients in Ohio and across the U.S., apply today and become part of a team that values your expertise and supports your professional journey.
