Travel Registered Nurse Postpartum Job
Registered Nurse – Postpartum, LDRP, is open for a 13-week travel assignment in Milan, New Mexico, United States. Start date is 06/08/2026 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 3x12 rotating (12-hour shifts). The role takes place in a hospital setting focused on perinatal care, requiring a licensed RN who will provide patient- and family-centered care through all stages of the nursing process and coordinate with the care team.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of postpartum patients and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Deliver direct patient care across the postpartum spectrum and provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families
- Coordinate education on transitions of care and support health literacy for successful postpartum recovery
- Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel as part of the care team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record; collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives; float to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation and training
Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent)
- Education: ADN required; BSN preferred
- Department-specific: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required
- OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months
- SAFER NM Technician certification preferred
- Education and clinical experience that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the assigned department
- Demonstrated ability to deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients and families; strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
