Responsibilities
- Deliver direct ED nursing care to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients, with emphasis on rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring.
- Perform triage, initial assessment, ongoing vital signs monitoring, and documentation in the EPIC EMR; implement and adjust care plans under physician orders.
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including vasopressors and other emergency drugs, monitor responses, and manage potential adverse effects.
- Support care for patients with acute conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure; collaborate with the multidisciplinary ED team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Respond to critical events, coordinate patient flow, facilitate admissions, discharges, and transfers, and communicate clearly with patients and families.
- Maintain unit readiness and credentialing standards; participate in unit coverage, including floating to related ED areas as needed.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys verification required.
- 2+ years of emergency department experience; pediatric exposure preferred.
- Travel ED experience required; documented travel history preferred.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC required.
- EMR experience: EPIC.
- Ability to float to supported ED areas; strong critical thinking and teamwork skills.
- Must reside 75 miles or more from the facility; locals may be considered at local rate if within 75 miles.
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission.
- Up-to-date resume showing ED experience and travel history.
