Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Assesses patient status, develops and implements care plans, monitors progress, and updates plans as needed.
- Administers medications and treatments as ordered; monitors for adverse effects; ensures patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and case management to optimize patient outcomes; communicates changes and updates.
- Documents care in the electronic health record and ensures compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Current RN license or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Med-Surg experience preferred for a travel Med-Surg assignment
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel and work in an inpatient setting
