Travel Registered Nurse Postpartum Job
Registered Nurse (Postpartum) travel assignment in Milan, New Mexico. Start date: 07/15/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay: $2,427–$2,553 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 rotating. Setting: hospital unit focused on labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care. The RN delivers safe, patient- and family-centered nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while coordinating education and care with the interdisciplinary team and ensuring alignment with state licensure and hospital policy.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for postpartum patients.
- Deliver direct, age-appropriate nursing care across the lifespan and provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families.
- Coordinate and supervise ancillary staff, including licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants, while collaborating with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Float to other departments as needed with orientation and training; support ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or active multistate license (eNLC)
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association
- Education and clinical experience in perinatal care with expertise in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP)
- Certifications: current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification within 12 months; SAFER NM Technician preferred
- Ability to float to other departments with appropriate orientation and maintain professional, compassionate care
