Responsibilities
- Provide Physical Therapy Assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, implementing the plan of care.
- Conduct and progress therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Monitor patient response to interventions, document progress, and report changes to the supervising PT.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and daily activities to support ongoing recovery.
- Communicate and collaborate with the care team to coordinate care and adjust the plan of care as directed.
- Ensure safe practice in a home environment and maintain accurate documentation in the patient record.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Texas.
- Experience in physical therapy assistance; home health experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a home health setting and to fulfill a travel assignment as indicated.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to follow a PT-ordered treatment plan.
- Availability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00 with 40 hours guaranteed.
