Travel Radiology Tech MRI Tech Job
MRI Technologist (Travel) – MRI specialty in Everett, WA, United States. Start date July 20, 2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay: $1,905–$1,955 per week. Shift pattern: 3x12s (Thursday–Saturday), 06:30–19:00. Weekend requirement: Every Saturday. This assignment is in a Level II trauma center MRI department with outpatient, inpatient, and ED coverage. Floating across outpatient, inpatient, and ED is required. A daily caseload of roughly 30–40 exams is typical, with day shift focusing on cardiac and breast MRI and night shift handling routine neuro/orthopedic/abdomen/extremity studies. Equipment includes GE systems with surface coils; EPIC is used for charting. The department operates 2 MRI rooms. Locals are not accepted and parking is facility-paid.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations across outpatient, inpatient, and ED populations with attention to safety and comfort
- Prepare patients, administer contrast when credentialed, start IVs, and monitor for adverse reactions as applicable
- Position patients with appropriate coils to optimize image quality; adjust protocols for specific body regions
- Acquire and review images; apply post-processing and basic reconstructions as needed; ensure study quality meets radiologist requirements
- Document patient information and imaging details in EPIC; communicate findings or concerns to supervising staff
- Maintain equipment and room readiness; comply with radiation and magnetic safety protocols; participate in unit coverage as assigned
Requirements
- WA state license (active)
- Certification: ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) required; ARRT (MR) is a hard stop; ARRT(R) not required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year MRI experience
- Ability to work in a high-volume MRI department with outpatient, inpatient, and ED coverage
- Willingness to float between clinical areas and to cover a Saturday weekend shift
- Experience with cardiac and breast MRI during day shifts; routine neuro/ortho/abdomen/extremity studies during night shifts
- Neonatal/pediatric experience preferred; trauma Level I exposure preferred
- EPIC charting experience preferred; GE MRI systems experience with surface coils
- Scrub color acceptable except reddish orange
- References: provide 2 within the last 3 years; local hire rule noted (no locals)
